Dr. Teresa Jacobson

BSC, DVM

Dr. Jacobson graduated from the University of Victoria with a

Bachelor of Science in Biology Co-op program in 1990 an received her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from the Western College of Veterinary medicine in 1995.

She works at Sitara Animal Hospital, a Dentistry and Maxillofacial Surgery Referral Practice, and a general practice in lake Country, BC. She teaches veterinary dentistry to other veterinarians, technicians and support staff in BC, AB, SK and MB. She has lectured and taught laboratories at the European and the American Veterinary Dental Forums. She also taught veterinary dentistry to the 4th year students at the Western College of Veterinary Medicine. Dr. Jacobson is actively involved in the outreach committee for the Foundation for Veterinary Dentistry to improve veterinary student, practitioner and staff education and involvement internationally. . Dr Jacobson donates her time and skills to Alley Cats Alliance Critter Aid, Okanagan Small Dog Rescue, Paws It forward and the BC SPCA, charitable organizations for animals down on their luck.

Dr. Jacobson is a published author in the 'Journal of Veterinary Dentistry', and chapters in the book 'Fracture Management for the Small Animal Practitioner' (Wiley Blackwell).
